Challenge:
Establish Smarties as the beacon brand for Halloween
Solution:
Ground 4D developed the concept 'Eat Them Before They Eat You'. Activities were concentrated in Dundrum Town Centre, which underwent a Spookification!

The bandstand transformed into a Smarties Spooky Castle and The Mill Pond was transformed into a Scary Swamp. Pontoons with scary Smarties faces helped create a marshy effect and the water was dyed green. Smarties Scary Faces hung from the main tree and faces stuck up from the ground as if they were emerging from below. Staff dressed in Scary Smarties Costumes offered a variety of activities daily including face painting, decoration and card making, mask making, magician, storytelling & balloon modeling.

A competition ran in Tesco stores encouraging shoppers to purchase from the Smarties minis range and to enter the competition to win their Halloween shop. The confectionary aisles were spookified with 3D floor stickers, which resembled creepy bridges with broken panels, people had to walk over the bridge to avoid to falling into a haunted swamp!
